Dr. Maritza Meifert, O.D., brings over 34 years of experience in optometry, beginning her journey as an optician at age 17. After earning a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and working in the field for five years, she followed her passion and became an optometrist, graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1995. Dr. Meifert specializes in general optometry, contact lenses, and the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she is dedicated to helping every patient achieve clearer, healthier vision. Dr. Meifert also participated in a VOSH mission trip to Mexico, offering free eye care to underserved communities. Outside of work, she enjoys bike riding, traveling with her family, and serving as a ministerial servant at her local congregation.
